Mind Maven LLC

About the practice
Mind Maven LLC is a new psychotherapy practice proudly serving the Crawfordville and Tallahassee area, as well as clients across Florida through secure telehealth. Founded by Ali-Marie Mattice, a licensed therapist with a passion for helping people create meaningful change, Mind Maven was born from a vision to bring high-quality, compassionate mental health care to the community.
While the practice is new to the area, our commitment to client care runs deep. We understand that reaching out for therapy can feel like a big step, and we strive to make the process as comfortable, personal, and welcoming as possible.
Our mission is simple: to make mental health care accessible, relatable, and recognized as an essential part of overall wellness. Just like caring for your body, caring for your mind is vital. Stress, anxiety, depression, unresolved trauma, or life transitions can affect everything—from your physical health to your relationships and career. Therapy offers a space to understand those challenges, build resilience, and create a more balanced, fulfilling life.
Through HIPAA-compliant virtual sessions, clients from anywhere in Florida can access therapy without sacrificing quality, privacy, or personal connection.
We address a wide range of concerns—from anxiety and grief to life transitions and relationship challenges—and have specialized expertise in performance-related mental health for high achievers, including elite athletes and business professionals. Our approach is collaborative, evidence-based, and tailored to each client’s unique needs and goals.
At Mind Maven, we believe therapy isn’t just about overcoming difficulties—it’s about unlocking your potential, strengthening your mindset, and building the tools to thrive.
Providers
Ali-Marie Mattice, LCSW
I am a Licensed Social Worker with years of experience working with a diverse range of clients, including older adolescents, adults, elite athletes, business executives, and other high performers. I specialize in mental skills training, resilience-building, and performance optimization, drawing on a deep understanding of the unique pressures faced by individuals in high-demand environments.
In addition to my performance-focused work, my professional background includes extensive experience supporting the aging population, providing grief and bereavement counseling through hospice care, working with individuals involved in the justice system, and treating clients for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. These diverse experiences have strengthened my ability to address a wide range of concerns—including anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, stress, life transitions, and challenges within relationships or family systems.
I earned my MSW from the Uni of Maryland and dual BAs in Psychology and Criminology from George Mason University. As a former athlete and elite sports coach I have insight into performance challenges. As a therapist who has worked with clients nationwide, I focus on providing therapy that builds confidence, motivation, and a high-performing mindset.
I take a person-centered approach, fostering a supportive and validating space where clients feel at ease. Drawing on my understanding of performance pressures, overachievement, and the pursuit of balance, I collaborate with clients to set meaningful, achievable goals.
